I reversed that then tried a receipt for that customer with the $2000 allocated (which became -$2000) for a payment back to them but it wouldn't let me post as it was not balanced ? When I display the transaction detail for this attempted entry I see that it isn't allocating to an account (aka prepaid sales), only the cheque account. I tried an entry to debit that account and credit my cheque account - of course that seemed to work, but the customer account was not affected and they still have a negative balance.
